February. 18, 2008 - Survey Solutions Scotland, in Partnership with Trimble, are pleased to announce the addition of 5 new reference stations in the Central belt of Scotland. This will enhance the performance of the Trimble VRS Now correction service by providing a combined GPS and Glonass Network solution for RTK Survey Grade Rovers which are capable of tracking both of these constellations.  This is another first from Trimble at no additional cost to the current licence fee. The performance of the GPS/Glonass enabled VRS Rovers is quite staggering compared to conventional GPS only Rovers.

This will make Trimble the only provider of GPS & GLONASS network RTK corrections in Great Britain.

RTK initialization can be retained in more difficult conditions where GPS only receivers will not function in RTK accuracy mode. If you would like to try out this new facility please contact us at:
